Have an adult help you mold the clay around the straw into the symbol of your choice. 3. When the charm is finished, have an adult help you gently remove the straw, leaving a hole through the center of the clay. 4. Let your charm dry and harden. 5.

Double whole note - A double whole note or breve is a note in music, lasting twice as long as a whole note (or semibreve). In Mediaeval music, the breve was the shortest note length, and could be either a half or a third as long as the longa, but in modern music notation it is the longest note with a distinct symbol.

Slur (music) - A slur is a symbol in Western musical notation indicating that the notes it embraces are to be played without separation. This implies legato articulation but in music for bowed string instruments, it also indicates the notes should be played in one bow; and in music for wind instruments, that the notes should be played without using the tongue to rearticulate each note (see tonguing).

Rest (music) - A rest is an interval of silence in a piece of music, marked by a sign indicating the length of the pause. Each rest symbol corresponds with a particular note value:

Accidental (music) - An accidental is a musical notation symbol used to raise or lower the pitch of a note from that indicated by the key signature.
